US: Three classic toys inducted into The National Toy Hall of Fame

Three new toys have earned a place in The National Toy Hall of Fame at The Strong Museum in Rochester in New York.

The swing, Dungeons & Dragons and Fisher Price’s ‘Little People’ have joined 59 classic toys, including Hot Wheels, Rubik’s Cube, Scrabble and the Jump Rope.

This year the museum received more than 4,200 nominations for 780 toys, which an internal committee cut down to 12.

The three toys were then chosen from the shortlist of 12 finalists, which included Care Bears, Nerf, Transformers and Uno.

Overall, 62 toys have been inducted so far to the museum.
