The Decemberists smashes Kickstarter goal with Illmat

After recently launching a new board game on Kickstarter, American folk rock band The Decemberists has smashed their original goal of $42,812, raising $416,358.

Dubbed Illmat, the game was developed by the rock band and game designer, Keith Baker.

Since the campaign closed last night, the game has garnered 5,963 backers, with $418,628 pledged to help bring the game to shelves.

The game, which was first developed in 2009, is a two to four player game that can be played in 15 minutes.
