Tesco readies Toy Tester Hotline service

To give parents a helping hand this Christmas, retail giant Tesco is launching a Toy Tester Hotline that will be managed by a team of kids.

Over the phone, kids will be able to give parents advice on this year’s top toys, including why they like them and why parents should purchase it.

Children, aged between five and nine will be on hand to help on November 5th from 10am till 2pm.

“With 66 per cent of parents admitting to not knowing what to buy their kids at Christmas, we hope the Toy Tester Hotline will help parents pick the perfect presents,” said Dawn Lavalette, head of buying for toys and nursery at Tesco.

“Whether you need a LEGO City Airport Air Show, a Paw Patrol Air Patroller or a Tesco exclusive such as Sindy, our expert team will be on hand to help you find the perfect gift at Tesco, home of the most loved toys.”

The idea comes following a survey carried out by Tesco of 2,000 parents, which found that 66 per cent were unsure what to buy their kids this Christmas.
