Play-Doh joins toys-to-life movement with app game Play-Doh Touch

The iconic arts and craft brand Play-Doh is the latest to have joined the toys-to-life movement with the launch of a new app game Play-Doh Touch.

Available for iPad and iPhone, the game can scan any Play-Doh creation before animating it in a virtual gaming world.

The game can be played for free with any can of Play-Doh or with the $40 Shape to Life Studio set which includes cutters character and action stamps as well as seven cans of modelling Play-Doh.

The app will scan a child’s Play-Doh creation through the phone’s camera before bringing it into the game while the Studio set’s stamps can be used to create balloons, wings, musical notes and potions in order to make the character fly, dance or multiply.

Each ability differs depending on the colour of the Play-Doh used. The app is currently available for download across the US.
