Amazon names Bananagrams best-selling toy

Bananagrams has been named the best-selling toy over the last 16 years, according to online retailer Amazon.

The game took the top spot in a list of ten others that do not include a battery, switch or app.

According to Amazon, Bananagrams has sold more than any other toy on Amazon’s UK website since 2000.

Pete Masters, toys and games store manager at Amazon, said: "The best-selling toys and games of all time give a great insight into what products have captured the imagination of generation after generation with games that allow the whole family to take part topping the chart,” reports the Express.

The original Rubik’s Cube, Articulate, Pass the Pigs and Hasbro’s Pie Face also made it onto the list.
