Hot Wheels AI kits to hit UK in 2017

Mattel has injected Hot Wheels with Artificial Intelligence for a new line of racing kits, set to launch in the UK in 2017.

Hot Wheels A.I. sees consumers take to tracks against AI-controlled rivals that can stay on track, drive independently or compete in races, while the new tech will also enable players to launch virtual hazards such as oil spills, engine failures and tire blowouts in the special Championship Mode.

Tracks will also be customisable, with over 16 feet of track and 40 plus layouts to construct, and the racing will boast real-time announcements and realistic sound FX.

The Hot Wheels A.i. Intelligent Race System Starter Kit will come with two smart cars with scale speeds up to 180 mph, two gaming controllers with gameplay modes for all ages and 20 pieces of track.

Hot Wheels A.I. launches in the US this October, and will debut in the UK in spring/summer 2017.
