Amazon Dash buttons now available in the UK

Amazon has launched its Dash Buttons in the UK.

An Amazon Dash Button is a Wi-Fi connected device that allows consumers to reorder their favourite item with the press of a button. Once connected via an Amazon Prime account, a single press on a Dash Button automatically places an order.

By pressing the Amazon Dash Button for Play-Doh, customers can order a Mega Pack, a 24-Pack of Colors, or a Fun Tub while with the Amazon Dash Button for Nerf, customers can order dart refills for the Nerf N-Strike Elite, Nerf Rebelle and Nerf Rival blasters and bows.

Other brands available to purchase via Dash Buttons includes Kleenex, Whiskas, Durex and Gillette.

"Dash is an ultra-convenient device," said ParcelHero’s head of consumer research, David Jinks.

"It’s great news for busy people as it takes care of routine shopping chores automatically; but it’s very bad news for supermarkets as it ties consumers into Amazon for even more products."
