LeapFrog to help get kids school-ready following latest State of Education Report

LeapFrog is looking to tackle the issue of below the expected level of school-readiness among youngsters this year with the launch of LeapStart.

According to a recent study from The Key, more than half of new pupils are below the marker in school readiness and lack social skills.

LeapFrog has now outlined its planned to support parents and help the make sure their children are ready for the classroom when term time comes back around this September.

Working in partnership with parenting expert Liat Hughes Joshi and YouTube’s Channel Mum, the pre-school specialist is offering an array of practical tips and activities for kids to practice over the summer.

Coincidng with this, the firm has also launched its latest educational toy, LeapStart, a interactive learning system which works with the national curriculum to teach children key school and life skills.

Meanwhile, and recognizing that parents too need support when it comes to their child’s first day at school, LeapFrog has teamed with four vloggers from Channel Mum.

In a dedicated series of videos, the vlogger mums will discuss how they are feeling ahead of their own children’s first day at school and share their tips on how to help kids get school ready.

Joshi, said: “A child’s first day at school is such an emotional time for the whole family. It is important to remember that in preparing for this day, it’s not about competitive parenting but more about giving children the skills to make sure they can be confident and happy and ease into this new stage in their lives.”
