200 limited edition PJ Masks toys hit Comic-Con

San Diego Comic Con is about to kick of in the States tomorrow and comic fans will be clamouring for access to authors, artists and some collectible loot.

What they, perhaps, weren’t expecting was a children’s cartoon to rock up with what may be the most highly sought after item of the show.

At the Entertainment One booth (#4021) there will be 200 PJ Masks figurine playsets available for $20.

This PJ Masks Comic-Con Exclusive Figure Three-Pack is based on the hit superhero-themed preschool series, PJ Masks.

In a press release, it was states that ‘this Comic-Con Exclusive Figure Three-Pack features the show’s heroes poised for action in special shimmering metallic paint in their signature colors – Gekko in green, Catboy in blue, and Owlette in red.

‘Presented in an equally glossy commemorative package, this exclusive set is the first chance for fans of the colorful CGI-animated TV show, which airs on Disney Junior, to take home figures of their favorite nighttime crusaders.’

As you can see in the video here, the toys give a taster of what to expect from the full range of PJ Masks merchandise available later in the year. If the level of interest in our posts about PJ Masks is matched with consumer appetite for the product, Licence partner Just Play look set to be on a winner.

Also worth noting is the recent release of the first dedicated PJ Masks video game, Moonlight Heroes which is doing well in the app store.

The full PJ Masks toy line from Just Play will be available in stores this fall and includes action figures, playsets, vehicles, plush and role-play toys.
