Argos celebrates Lily’s Driftwood Bay toy launch with viewer competition

Nickelodeon has teamed with Argos for an exclusive competition to celebrate the launch of the Lily’s Driftwood Bay toy line.

The competition will ask kids to create and upload their own Lily’s Driftwood Bay character to Nickjr.co.uk. The winning entry will then be animated into an episode of the hit pre-school series.

The episode will then be broadcast on the Nick Jr. network of channels, while the winner’s name will appear in the show credits.

Five runners up will receive a raft of Lily’s Drifwood Bay prizes in the competition that is now running until Friday, August 12th.

The competition has been devised in order to celebrate the debut Lily’s Driftwood Bay toy line, launching exclusively at Argos from Saturday, July 16th.

Created and produced by Sixteen South, Lily’s Driftwood Bay premiered on Nick Jr, in May 2014 and has been watched by over 7.8 million viewers to date.

The series boasts an all star line-up of voice talent including Stephen Fry, Ardal O’Hanlon, Peter Mullan and Annette Crosby.

“Lily’s Driftwood Bay is an enchanting addition to our pre-school offering and it is fitting that toys from such a great UK property will be available exclusively at the UK’s number one retailer,” said Chris Watters, buying manager, infant and pre-school toys at Argos.

“Fans of the show will be able to get their hands on the range from the day of launch with Argos Fast Track delivery and to celebrate the launch we are giving one lucky fan the chance to create a character that will appear in the show.”
