Rainbow Designs’ Roald Dahl collection enjoys ‘great success’ at retail

Rainbow Designs’ new Roald Dahl collection, featuring the award-winning Whizzpopping BFG, has been a hit with consumers.

The new line launched on World Book Day in April and has been enjoying ‘great success’ at retail, ahead of the release of The BFG movie on July 22nd.

The range includes a 30cm Soft Toy collection featuring three of Dahl’s most famous characters: Matilda, The BFG and Willy Wonka. The collection also includes the 45cm Whizzpopping BFG which scooped a Best New Toy Award at Toy Fair this year.

“We are delighted with the uptake on the range," said Suzie Howes, head of marketing and licensing at Rainbow Designs.

"With the movie being billed as one of this summer’s big releases it is great that retailers are already ahead of the game and have stock on shelves as this fantastic film will be upon us in just a couple of weeks. The BFG is such an endearing character and the movie is just going to ignite the enthusiasm in fans both new and old.”
