The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) has been named Trade Association of the Year at this year’s prestigious Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards.
The association also scooped the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Social Media category awards, as well as making it as a finalist in the Exhibition of the Year for Toy Fair.
“The BTHA have had a fantastic year and have clearly demonstrated their prowess across a number of activities traditionally undertaken by trade associations, which have been of great benefit to their industry and their membership,“ said Linda Cavender, chief executive at the Trade Association Forum (TAF).
“As well as all their association activities, the BHTA has also seen huge success with their Toy Trust, helping disadvantaged children all over the World. TAF is delighted to recognise BTHA’s hard work and they well deserve the accolade of 2016 Trade Association of the Year.”
The accolade is given to the association that has demonstrated great success over many different areas of work on behalf of its membership.
Natasha Crookes, director of public affairs and communications at the BTHA, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won Association of the Year and are extremely thankful to the Trade Association Forum for the recognition of our work at the BTHA.
“It was a lovely surprise for us all and this prestigious accolade is genuinely appreciated by entire team and our membership.”
In addition, the Social Media Award went to the BTHA’s Make Time 2 Play campaign, while the Toy Trust won the best CSR initiative of the year.
