GoldieBlox books on the way from Random House

GoldieBlox has teamed with Random House Children’s Books to launch a line books based on the construction toy property.

The series, which will debut in early 2017, will chronicle Goldie Blox’s passion for inventing, her friends, and their world.

“Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the GoldieBlox brand," said Debbie Sterling, CEO and founder of GoldieBlox.

"Working with Random House and author Stacy McAnulty will help us engage with more children, inspiring them to understand how they can contribute to building a better world, and discover talents and interests they never knew they had.

"With this series, we are one step closer to our mission of changing the narrative around gender stereotypes. By offering a new medium to share our message, our goal is to encourage children all around the world to find their passion whatever it may be.”

Chris Angelilli, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief, Executive Director, Licensed Publishing, Random House / Golden Books Young Readers Group, added: “We are excited to work with Debbie and her team to extend the positive and empowering message of the GoldieBlox brand to books, and to offer young readers such an entertaining and intellectually stimulating series to engage with."

The first title, Goldie Blox Ruins Rules the School, is an origin story introducing readers to Goldie’s offbeat world. The first two novels are scheduled to hit book shelves in spring and summer 2017.
