US: LeapFrog unveils new pre-school toys to promote early development

LeapFrog is bolstering its pre-school line with new early development toys to help boost 21st Century learning skills.

Launching to the US market this month, the company has introduced Melody the Musical Turtle, Count Along Register and Learn & Groove Musical Mat, which have been designed to help children build early learning basics and problem solving skills.

21st Century learning teaches children to approach problems and concepts in different ways, whilst preparing them for new challenges.

"We believe in thinking ahead and teaching for tomorrow in order to give children the best possible future," said Dr. Jody Sherman LeVos, PhD, director of learning at LeapFrog.

"That’s why our toys, games, activities and devices are designed to help prepare today’s children for tomorrow’s world by inspiring them to master core curriculum skills through engaging play, while helping develop the critical thinking, problem-solving, creative and collaborative skills they’ll need to thrive in the 21st century."

Melody the Musical Turtle and Count Along Register will cost users $19.99, while the Learn & Groove Musical Mat is priced at $29.99, all of which have been designed for children aged two and up.

A UK launch date for the range is still to be confirmed.
