Pokémon-inspired Monopoly on the way from USAopoly

Board game maker USAopoly is set to design a brand new game of Monopoly inspired by Pokémon.

Known as Monopoly: Pokémon Johto Edition, the game has been designed on the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver games from Game Freak that was released in 1999.

According to Pidgi, the game is set to feature customised player tokens of Pikachu, Pichu, Togepi, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile and the three Johto starters.

Like the original game, players will travel around the board game and will be able to acquire Pokémon characters instead of the usual properties.

The game is set for release sometime during the third quarter of 2016 for $44.99.
