LEGO opens first Australian store in Queensland’s Dreamworld

LEGO is expanding its global reach with the planned opening of its first Australian store.

Set to open at Dreamworld in Queensland, the store will offer over 400 items including a number of exclusive lines.

The new opening will mark the launch of the largest retail store at Dreamworld as well as being the first time LEGO has placed a store inside an amusement park in the southern hemisphere.

The 350 square metre store will have exclusive LEGO sets and hands-on activities for children and families, boasting the widest range of LEGO products in Australia.

“This new store will be a destination in its own right and an added attraction to the existing retailers, riders and unique experiences at Dreamworld,” said Craig Davidson, CEO of Dreamworld.

Construction on the new store will commence in July this year with the store scheduled to open in November, in time for Christmas.

“LEGO enthusiast can expect to see a broad product offering, unique large scale models and opportunities for bricks in hands experiences which will inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow,” said Troy Taylor from LEGO Australia and New Zealand.
