Kickstarter record-breaker Exploding Kittens blasts onto Android

One of the most backed campaign to ever sweep Kickstarter, Exploding Kittens, is making a play for Android gaming.

The tabletop card game title launched to the crowd-funding platform last year where it hit is goal of $10,000 within 20 minutes, before going on to secure over $8 million in funding.

Named the most-funded game on Kickstarter to date, Exploding Kittens has now been given an Android launch. According to Pocket Int, the multiplayer card game works much like the physical version but without the physical cards.

The new title sees up to five players take turns pulling cards from a digital deck, if they pull an Exploding Kitten, they have to use a card from their hand to defuse it.

Exploding Kittens is the brainchild of The Oatmeal’s Matthew Inman and former Microsoft workers, Elan Lee and Shane Small.

Exploding Kittens the app costs $1.99 to download from the Google Play Store.
