Esdevium readies for first Board Game Club takeover this May

Esdevium is preparing to take tabletop fans on a ‘guided tour of modern board games,’ in an exclusive takeover of adult games night Board Game Club.

The firm will host its first total take over of the monthly event on Thursday, May 19th at a special event to be held at Brasserie 43 in Euston, London where it promises to take guests through a mix of modern games.

High energy party games will feature alongside accessible ‘gateway’ family and group games, all hosted by the company’s ten strong team of expert demonstrators.

“We are huge fans of Board Game Club,” said Ben Hogg of Esdevium. “We have watched with interest over the past couple of years as regular attendees graduate form one style of game to another. We wanted the chance to introduce people to a collection of games that we feel are a real driving force behind the ‘golden age of board gaming.’

Board Game Club co-founder, Playtime PR’s Lesley Singleton, has teased that guests at the upcoming Esdevium takeover night are in for a real treat.

“With my PR hat on, I know that the very best way of making someone love your game is to let them get hands on and play it, that’s why we set up Board Game club in the first place,” she said.

“Our grown up games nights are there to encourage people to try things they might not usually look twice at, because often they’ll absolutely love them, even if they’re completely different to their usual choices.”

Canapés and a free welcome drink courtesy of Esdevium will be waiting for guests on arrival as they explore a host of games ranging from Codenames, Catan and Ticket to Ride to Pandemic, Mysterium and Timeline.

The event is strictly guest list only and there is currently a waiting list – please email to add your name.
