Plush owl toys unveiled to celebrate London’s Night Tube

A line of stuffed owl toys has gone on sale to celebrate London’s Night Tube.

Transport for London has ordered more than 2,000 of the plush toys, which has been named Tooting the Night Tube Owl after the Tooting Bec stop on the Northern Line.

The bright yellow bird first made an appearance on signs across London Underground stations last year, before the Night Tube was due to start in September.

The toy is currently on sale on the London Transport Museum website for £9.99, with a description citing: “Are you a night owl? Meet Tooting, our night owl, a character created to celebrate the extension of the Tube running hours at the weekends – coming soon! What a hoot!”

The night Tube is expected to launch during the summer this year.
