Smyths planning new store in Ashford

Toy store Smyths has revealed it is set to take over a unit at Ashford Retail Park in Sevington.

The unit, which is currently home to PC World, will boast a new Smyths retail shop that the firm says will create up to 30 new full-time jobs.

Smyths has already submitted an application to the local council to change the planning conditions of the site, and will be decided by planning officers in June this year.

The retailer currently has 64 stores in the UK, with further expansion planned for the future.
