Sambro appoints head of soft lines for new division

As Sambro begins its new growth plans, the company has revealed it will be introducing a new soft lines division, with a new appointment to follow.

Lara Singer has been named head of soft lines and will head up the new department.

In her new role, Singer will cover bags, umbrellas and hats, while she looks to boost the business.

Singer brings a wealth of experience in licensed product to the new role, having previously worked at retailer Primark, where she expanded the company’s kids accessories range across the UK and Northern Ireland.

Plus, Singer also held the position as senior buyer at M&Co, where she developed the retailer’s licensing ranges, including Harry Potter, Emoji and its own Kylie brand.

Nikki Samuels, licensing director at Sambro, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lara to the Sambro team. Our team is growing rapidly and Lara’s appointment reflects the experience and calibre of the people here at our UK Head Office.

“The new soft lines category will not only incorporate existing products in our portfolio but will be added to considerably. Lara’s reputation as someone who can bring quality fast fashion products to market is a real exciting prospect and we look forward to capitalising across this fast-moving category.”
