French museum celebrates life of Barbie with exhibition

Mattel’s iconic doll Barbie is set to star in its own exhibition, which kicks off next month in Paris.

The exhibition will be held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs from March 10th to September 18th 2016, which will look at all aspects of the doll’s life as a toy and an icon.

The museum will be using 700 dolls to tell the story of Barbie, as well as pieces of art, newspaper articles, photos and videos.

Plus, the exhibition will showcase how Barbie has evolved over the years, including the doll’s outfits to various job roles, including a surgeon to a presidential candidate.

Fans of Barbie can also take part in a competition the museum is holding called Dress Barbie, where fans are invited to design their own dress for Barbie.
