NUREMBERG 2016: Disney readies for year of strong licences

An army of 100 Jakks Pacific Star Wars stormtrooper figurines will welcome visitors to Nuremberg’s 2016 Spielwarenmesse as Disney gears for what it believes to be a year of strong licenses.

Disney kicks off the 67th International Toy Fair with a roster of popular licensing partners, as well as an ‘exciting property line-up’ and numerous new products as well as what it has billed as ‘exciting developments’ around the Star Wars, Marvel and Disney brands.

In addition, visitors to the Disney Lounge, staged in the foyer of the main entrance, will find themed worlds of the Disney Princess, Cars and Frozen franchises, in a space designed to welcome attendees for short meetings.

There is also a PlayStation 4 area in which the brand new game Disney Infinity 3.0 can be played.
