Giochi Preziosi Group named distributor for Kate & Mim-Mim toys

FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment (FMKFE) and Just Play have named The Giochi Preziosi Group as the toy distributor for the pre-school series Kate & Mim-Mim in key European countries.

The new range of Kate & Mim-Mim toys will be distributed in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Turkey, with the UK scheduled for summer, while other territories will follow in autumn.

Dario Berte, CEO of The Giochi Preziosi Group, said: “We’ve always admired the story telling and exceptional production values evident in the Kate & Mim-Mim series.

“It’s a highly engaging, and innovative girls’ pre-school brand with a distinctive look and great lead characters that Just Play has captured beautifully in their launch year product offering.”

Charlie Emby, co-president of Just Play, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with FremantleMedia and Giochi Preziosi to launch the Kate & Mim-Mim toy line around the world.

“Our team has created a fantastic range of toys that bring this enchanted series to life, and we look forward to seeing the line flourish thanks to the synergies coming from these new partnerships.”

FMKFE currently hold the exclusive worldwide licensing rights, as well as TV distribution rights for the TV series outside of Canada.

Tracy Griffiths, VP licensing and consumer products at FMKFE EMEA and Australia, commented: “We are delighted to have Giochi Preziosi on board as Kate & Mim-Mim’s major European toy distribution partner.

“With Just Play’s strong new toy range and Giochi Presiozi’s pan European distribution reach and experience we have the perfect team on board for this exciting new girls’ pre-school property.“
