Chelsea’s Eden Hazard teams with Topps to launch Champions League cards

Topps has teamed up with Chelsea star Eden Hazard to become its brand ambassador and launch the firm’s first UEFA Champions League edition of Match Attax.

The collection will launch on January 14th, and is set to build on the success of the Premier League edition of Match Attax.

It will feature a range of statistics so collectors can compare the Champions League stars, according to skill, power, passing and shooting.

Footballer values are also featured on each card, so players can act as a football manager and pick their own squad.

Hazard said: “I’m really excited to be supporting the new season’s sticker collection and trading card game; it’s a great way for children to get involved in football by collecting their favourite players, and particularly in developing the tactical side of the game through the trading cards.

“Having played it myself, it really makes you think about which players you field to win a match. I just hope that I’m a desirable card that children will want to collect, and that I don’t get swapped for anyone.”

Plus, Hazard has also been added to Topps’ UEFA Champions League official sticker collection, and features as a Match Attax limited edition and 101 Club player.

Rod Pearson, marketing director for Topps, added: “We’re incredibly excited to be working with Eden to launch the brand new UEFA Champions League collections.”
