10,000 counterfeit Barbie dolls seized in Puerto Rico

Authorities in Puerto Rico have recovered a haul of 10,000 counterfeit Barbie dolls that arrived from China.

The horde of 12-inch dolls featuring a tiny toy dog and valued by US Customs and Border Protection at more than $41,000, have all been destroyed.

Details of the interception of counterfeit Barbie dolls were released on Monday, January 4th.

Puerto Rican officials say that last year nearly 300 shipments were seized last year for intellectual property violations, says the Mail Online.
