The BTHA has issued a reminder to Toy Fair exhibitors and visitors of the show’s no child policy.
‘Despite Toy Fair opening on a Sunday this year, the show will still be enforcing a strict no child policy,’ read a statement from the BTHA.
‘Toy Fair is strictly a trade only event and is still restricted by health and safety regulations. In light of this, the decision still stands to prohibit all children from five years old to 16 years old from entering the show. Children under the age of five however are permitted into the show when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. Proof of age may be requested.
‘This strict policy will apply to all visitors and exhibitors across the three days of Toy Fair.
‘If exhibitors are bringing children to work at Toy Fair to help promote and demonstrate products, then they should ensure all children are fully licensed and pre-registered as ‘press children’ prior to Toy Fair.
Exhibitors will need to contact Bastion (the Toy Fair press agency) at firstname.lastname@example.org to register all press children prior to the show. All approved children and chaperones will be able to collect their badges from the on-site registration desk in the Grand Hall foyer. Press children will be given a PRESS KIDS sticker which must be worn at all times to signify they are working at the exhibition and fully licensed to do so.’
