A Girl for All Time scoops Playdoll of the Year title for second year

A Girl for All Time has been awarded the Playdoll of the Year title by Dolls Magazine for the second year running.

Lydia, Your Georgian Girl scooped the accolade in the 2015 contest following a public vote that judged each doll’s design, craftsmanship and playability.

Deliberation over the winner lasts for six months, when the public and thousands of doll enthusiasts are canvassed from around the world to cast their vote for the doll they feel worthy of the title.

Last year’s contest saw A Girl for All Time take home the award for Clementine, Your 1940s Girl.

“It’s been a busy year for us, with some good growth overall but particularly in the US where the doll market is especially active in the large playdoll sector,” said Frances Cain, founder of A Girl for All Time.

“Winning for a second time is such an honour and it’s wonderful to see that all of the attention to design and craftsmanship comes through in the product. We are hoping for a at trick in 2016 and it’s a great springboard for everything we have coming up in the New Year.”
