Magformers appoints David Kelly as UK MD

Magnetic construction toy brand, Magformers has appointed a new managing director in industry veteran David Kelly.

In his new role, the former Depesche and Engino Toy Systems executive will oversee all operations for the UK subsidiary of the Korean toy firm.

Kelly boasts much experience in carving out UK markets for oversees brands, having been responsible for the UK success of TopModel and My Style Princess.

“I am delighted and excited to be joining Magformers at a key stage in the company’s ambitious expansion plans,” said Kelly.

“Magformers has already gained an incredible foothold in the construction toy categories in Korea, the US and Russia and when I met the owners I was hugely impressed by their drive and commitment to expand into the UK.”

Under Kelly’s stewardship, Magformers will look to expand its UK sales team, maximizing what Kelly believes is a “fantastic opportunity for retailers to build a strong and safe successful magnetic construction category within their stores.”
