The Entertainer looks to expand in the north of England and Scotland in 2016

The Entertainer is looking to open new stores in the north of England and Scotland next year.

The retailer has opened 18 new stores throughout the UK in 2015, ten of which were in in Q4 alone.

By the end of this month, The Entertainer will have a total of 116 stores operational throughout the UK.

“2015 has seen us open more new stores than before in our company’s history," said managing director, Gary Grant.

"We have a solid footprint right across the UK on both the High Street and in shopping centres. Launching eighteen new stores plus major re-fits for several others is a great achievement for us, and this is in addition to the new warehouse in Banbury which launched only a couple of months ago and now serves as our main distribution centre.

"In 2016, we intend to increase upon these numbers and will specifically look to expand our business in the north of the UK and Scotland.”
