2015 Creative Play Awards winners revealed

Winners for the 2015 Creative Play Awards have been announced, which aim to recognise excellence in creative play products.

Each product in the line-up for an award was tested by independent judges, which included parents, childcare professionals and primary school teachers.

At the awards, LEGO Ninjago Build Your Own Adventure won the Children’s Book award, while Golden Bear’s Something Special Mr Tumbles Sensory Activity Centre took home the Special Educational Needs Toys/Resources gong.

John Hopley, editor of Creative Steps, said: “We are yet again delighted by the number of companies who entered products this year, which is our eighth year of hosting the awards.

“The quality of entries was, as always, extremely high, not only recognising the importance the toy industry places on encouraging learning through creative play, but the importance for children to play and learn.”
