The Early Learning Centre has unveiled its new look ‘playground for little pioneers’ layout to be rolled out to stores across the UK.
With a focus on imagination, the new concept aims to deliver interactive zones where children can play, read and interact across each of the new Mothercare’s Early Learning Centre stores.
The first to delvier upon the concept was Mothercare’s Manchester Fort shopping park store, in which the Early Learning Centre franchise features a hot air balloon fixture for kids to climb and a Little Learner reading zone.
The new 3,500 square foot environment is the work of the design consultancy 20.20, who struck on the idea of an in-store reading tree which invites kids to pick a book form it branches and sit and read.
Meanwhile, hands-on, play and learn fixtures have been incorporated into existing units.
The new Early Learning Centre concept from 20.20 is now being rolled out into each of Mothercare’s new stores across the UK.
“The new Early Learning Centre at Mothercare is an exciting space that appeals to parents and children alike,” said Mariann Wenckeim at 20.20.
“We have created an environment which youngsters can explore, learn and express themselves, giving mums and dads time to shop.”
Alongside its work with the Early Learning Centre and Mothercare, 20.20 has completed interior design projects for the likes of Kiddicare in the UK and Prenatal and Joker in Europe.
