PJ Masks, the new show from eOne Family who manage the Peppa Pig brand, is going great guns with audiences.
In an interview with Andy Robertson of Family Gamer TV, eOne Family MD Olivier Dumont talks about plans for toys, games, apps and a website.
Dumont was unsurprisingly upbeat and spoke about “toy companies and licensees ringing on the door. We will be starting a licensing and merchandising program in the US and France in 2016.”
There will also be a digital offering including “a website, an app and at least two games available via the website.”
PJ Masks is produced by eOne and Frog Box, in collaboration with the award-winning French animation studio TeamTO, and with Disney Junior and France 5. The show is based on French author Romuald Racioppo’s picture books Les Pyjamasques.
When asked if Peppa Pig, another eOne Family managed show, may overlap with PJ Masks and compete for audience, Dumont added: “PJ Masks is an older demographic, with the older audience it was a conscious decision when developing the brand that it was complementary to Peppa.
“It’s too early to tell for sure with the PJ Masks brand, but with the strong start we definitely anticipate a strong licensing and merchandising programme.”
There are a couple of sneak peeks of upcoming episodes on the channel as well. Check out the previews in the videos below:
