Hornby secures its first ever cinema ad for new Spectre range

Hornby Hobbies is heading to the big screen in its first ever cinema advert, supporting its Bond Corgi and Scalextric products.

The 30 second advert is launching to coincide with the arrival of Spectre and it’s being screened in cinemas nationwide as part of a comprehensive Bond-themed marketing campaign, launching on October 26th.

The ad will reach 2.5m people nationwide in 5,000 Pearl and Dean Cinemas across the UK.

“For our customers it is all about the thrill of the car chase so we wanted to create a commercial that teamed the excitement of the classic Bond car chase with the realistic driving experience offered by Scalextric," said Hornby Hobbies’ marketing controller Jim Procter-Blain.

"We are all delighted with the result. We will be reaching millions of Bond enthusiasts as they get ready to enjoy the new Spectre movie and are confident our compelling creative will leave a lasting impression."

Hornby‘s Bond line-up includes a Spectre Scalextric set, Micro Scalextric James Bond Set and Corgi Aston Martin DB10. 

The Spectre Scalextric set boasts an Aston Martin DB10 and Jaguar C-X75, as featured in the movie while the Micro Scalextric James Bond Set is aimed at newcomers to Scalextric.

The new 1:36 scale Hornby Hobbies’ Corgi Aston Martin DB10 model is launching next Spring 2016 and is designed around the life size version portrayed in the Spectre movie.
