In an exclusive partnership with the show's British Inventors Project, the winner will be awarded a stand worth £3000 at next year's event.

Inventors Workshop and Gadget Show Live partner in search for next hit tech toy

Toy designers attending this year’s Inventors Workshop now have the chance to win a free stand to showcase their creation at the Gadget Show Live.

In partnership with the upcoming Workshop, the show’s British Inventors Project is on the hunt for the next hit tech toy, offering the winner a stand worth £3000 at next year’s event.

The competition is open exclusively to attendees of this year’s Inventors Workshop, taking place at Whittlebury Hall on September 22nd.

Now in its third year, the British Inventors Project champions the best in British innovation, giving them the limelight they deserve by showcasing them to the show’s legions of attendees.

Over its history, the British Inventors Project has seen numerous concepts, including Ed Ward’s bike light that after placing second at last year’s event, has gone on to sell 6000 units across the UK.

However, next year’s Gadget Show Live, running from March 31st to April 3rd and expected to welcome around 80,000 visitors, will mark the first time the Project has added a tech toy category.

“The British Inventors Project is our contribution to celebrating and raising awareness of great British design,” said Gadget Show Live event director, Sally Brent.

“Over the last two years in the British Inventors Project, we have seen life-changing and life-saving products, beautiful designs and concepts for making everyday lives that little bit easier.

“However, what we haven’t seen is a new toy, so we’re really excited to be offering this prize to one of the delegates at this month’s Inventors Workshop and help them take the next step towards putting their design into production.

“With 80,000 visitors coming to Gadget Show Live, it’s a fantastic Launchpad for our inventors to reach consumers.”

The winner of the British Inventors Project search for the next hit tech toy will be revealed following this month’s Inventors Workshop.
