HandsOn and My Little Pony launch London’s first children-only volunteering event

On Friday, more than 100 children took part in London’s first ever children-only volunteering event to mark International Friendship Day.

The event was set-up by charity organisation HandsOn in association with Hasbro’s My Little Pony brand, and took place at the Log Cabin in London.

The day saw children creating homeless shelter help packs containing things like toothbrushes, toothpaste and shampoo as well as decorating plant pots to be gifted to the homes of older people.

There was also card making stations that will be sent to children’s hospitals, mini lantern creations to go to senior citizen centres and kids also decorated bandanas to give to homeless people with dogs.
