ITVS GE finds new Thunderbirds partners

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Thunderbirds, ITVS GE is working with its partners to launch new lines of limited edition and collectible products targeting collectors and fans of the original series.

The new ranges will span gifting, apparel, publishing, stationary and toys, set for release this year.

Bolstering the gifting category, ITVS GE has signed 3D Online Factory for a unique collection of 3D printable Thunderbirds figurines and craft in the UK and Eire and leading classic games company Winning Moves will launch a limited edition Thunderbirds Monopoly set for the UK, Eire, Australia and New Zealand.

Planet Replica will unveil a line of Thunderbirds TV show prop replicas at retail worldwide.

Also commemorating the anniversary, Hornby will launch a die-cast Thunderbirds vehicle collection in the UK and Eire and Tinamps is producing a portable speaker in a tin for the UK, Eire and Japanese markets.

ITVS GE has also signed Forbidden Planet for a direct to retail line, in the UK and Eire, of adult apparel, gifts and accessories.

On the publishing front, Octopus Publishing group will launch a series of three books, while Panini will produce a 50th anniversary classic Thunderbirds one-off magazine for the UK and Eire.

Elsewhere, Dreamtex adds a line of adult bedding for the UK and Eire, Smiffys are on board for a line of adult dress up costumes and Misirili for adult socks.

In Australia a promotional deal with Leo Burnett Sydney will see the use of the Thunderbirds theme tune on TV, radio and online for Woolworths.
