With overseas editions, expansion packs and an app in their sights, the Accentuate duo take on the Dragons in BBC2's hit show next Sunday.

Accentuate enters BBC’s Dragons’ Den

The brother and sister team behind the popular accent-guessing game Accentuate are stepping into the BBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Graeme and Fiona Fraser-Bell will feature in the second episode of the new series, which will air next Sunday, July 19th at 8pm on BBC2.

The Fraser-Bells will face three new Dragons in the new series: Nick Jenkins, Sarah Willingham and Touker Suleyman along with long-term Dragons Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden.

The duo will enter the Den in the hope to secure investment for the party game launched just over one year ago, with sights set on taking the game global as well as introducing various expansion packs.

“We unleashed Accentuate on the UK just over a year ago and we are selling well through John Lewis and Firebox.com, as well as in a number of independent shops all arounds the UK,” said Graeme Fraser-Bell.

“However, we want to take it to the next level with overseas editions, various expansion packs and a mobile app, so we hope to entice a Dragon who can see the potential of a game which, in essence, trades on embarrassing players into submission.”

In what she describes as a nerve wracking and exciting experience, all at once, Fiona Fraser-Bell stated that part of the fun was seeing whether the Dragons themselves were any good at accents.

“We spent weeks working on the pitch, yet nothing could have prepared us for the tense reality of the Den environment,” she said.

“It’s quite possibly been the most exhilarating, stressful and surreal experience of our lives.”
