Sambro is anticipating this year’s demand for Minions products to rival that previously seen for Frozen, as the firm already reports sell-out sales ahead of the release of the Minions Movie this summer.
In response to high retailer and consumer demand, the company is already bringing in new shipments of Minions themed bags, stationery, arts and crafts and more in the lead up to the film’s UK debut.
Sambro now expects to see the current demand continue in the run up to peak Christmas season.
“Not since Frozen have we seen such phenomenal demand for licensed product,” said Nikki Samuels, licensing director at Sambro.
“The Minions already have legions of fans so there has been a groundswell of demand for our ranges way ahead of the film’s release. We anticipate demand to increase even further in the run up to Christmas so are preparing to meet orders ensuring retailers can capitalise on the film’s success.”
In addition to this, the firm is also ramping up PR activity with competitions via social media throughout June and across leading kids’ titles in the Christmas countdown.
