An IndieGoGo campaign to raise funds to develop a new Micro Drone the size of your palm has more than double its crowdfunding goal in one day.
Micro Drone 3.0: Flight in the Palm of Your Hand was launched to the crowd-sourcing site on Tuesday, June 16 with the goal of securing $75,000 in funding.
In just two days, the mini-drone has raised more than double its original goal, securing $194,311.
The project has seen 1,458 people pledge towards the development and marketing of the drone that can be controlled via a companion app for iOS, Android or with its radio controller.
The new Micro Drone 3.0 boasts the ability to capture HD aerial footage with its in-built camera.
The mini-drone, pictured above next to the hummingbird, is the brainchild of Vernon Kerswell, founder and managing director of Extreme Labs.
The project now has 29 days remaining on IndieGoGo.
