New Guinness World Record set for the most consecutive games of Scrabble played in 24 hours

A new Guinness World Record has been set for the most consecutive games of Scrabble played within a 24 hour period.

The new record is 30 games achieved in 24 hours.

In association with Mattel and Mind Sports International, the 24 hour Scrabble marathon was attempted by current Scrabble World Champion, Craig Beevers, and 30 Scrabble players who went head-to-head in the challenge to mark National Scrabble Day.

“This is a great new record for Scrabble and we are extremely grateful to everyone who took part and helped achieve it," said Wendy Hill, director of brand activation.
