Disney Tsum Tsums take to the skies in London parade

Giant versions of Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Olaf from Disney’s Frozen have been spotted parading the streets and skies of London.

Over-sized inflatable versions of the latest Japanese craze to hit the UK, Disney’s Tsum Tsums, have journeyed through the capitol in celebration of the position reception the line has received since launch.

The collectable range of cuddly characters – featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Donald Duck, Snow White, Elsa and Olaf – have reportedly been ‘an instant hit’ with the British public.

“A remarkable number of Tsum Tsums have already sold at the Disney Store in the UK since its launch, with enough to stack 670 times higher than Trafalgar Square’s Nelson’s Column and 260 times higher than the London Eye,” read a statement from Disney.

Disney Tsum Tsum – meaning stack, stack – was originally developed in Japan as a social smartphone game that has now seen over 30 million global downloads.

Reception to the range has been so positive, according the to the company, that the first Tuesday of each month has now been named Tsum Tsum Tuesday at Disney Store in monthly events that sees new characters released.

The cast of the latest Disney Pixar title Inside Out are the most recent character to join the line up this June.
