The Granville School’s Sue Quinn wins K’NEX’s Teachers Build Futures competition

K’NEX has announced the first winner of its national Teachers Build Futures competition.

The Teachers Build Futures campaign asked pupils to nominate teachers who make learning fun.

The first Teachers Build Futures winner is Mrs Sue Quinn of The Granville School, nominated by Year Six pupil Lucy Tansley.

Lucy said: “Mrs Quinn is a brilliant teacher who encourages us to ask questions about everything and anything that makes us curious.

"I used to find science boring but thanks to Mrs Quinn, I’ve come on so well that I’m a science prefect and I think science is amazing in every way."

Mrs Quinn added: “Pupils like Lucy Tansley are the reason I have been teaching at The Granville School for 20 years.

"Although I’m leaving the school later this year, the words in Lucy’s nomination will remain with me for years to come.”

Mrs Quinn was presented with toys that her Year Six class can enjoy building as a team, including a K’NEX Typhoon Frenzy coaster and a K’NEX 70 Model Ultimate Building Set.

Nominations are open until the end of July, with a winner picked every month.

Nominations can be made on the K’NEX UK Facebook wall, tweeted to @KNEXUK or emailed to
