Money will be distributed to charities which help disabled and disadvantaged children.

Toy Trust Big Cake Bake raises over £1,300

Last week’s Toy Trust Big Cake Bake raised over £1,300, with 14 companies taking part in the event.

The initiative ran from Monday April 13th to Friday April 17th, with employees spending the week showcasing their baking prowess in their company’s own bake sale.

Companies that took part included The Entertainer, Golden Bear, Spin Master, Vivid, Disney, Mattel, Hasbro, Toymaster, Learning Resources, Bigjigs, Schleich, Evolution PR and the BTHA.

Alongside the sale, bakers were able to enter their cakes into the inaugural toy industry Cupcake Awards via Twitter. The five champions were:

The Toy Trust has also given a special mention to Hasbro’s ‘Handyman Angus’ for baking the prettiest cake.

"The support and enthusiasm for this brand new initiative has been excellent and we want to thank the industry for its continued efforts," commented Toy Trust chair, Foye Pascoe. "After such incredible support in its first year prepare for more baking in 2016."
