Esdevium's party board game fetches up to £155 on eBay as video reaches over 30million views on Facebook.

Pie Face video goes viral as stock sells out worldwide

Messy party board game Pie Face is fetching up to £155 on eBay after video footage of the game went viral earlier this week.

A video posted to Facebook, featuring a cream laden version of Esdevium Games’ popular game, has reached over 30 million views and has prompted a reaction from fans worldwide.

Esdevium Games reports that the video, posted by Facebook user Sharon Boswell O’Brien, and starring her husband and his grandson playing the game, has lead to an unprecedented demand for the game.

“It’s incredible, our stock sold out within minutes and we have had enquiries from all over the world regarding Pie Face,” said Esdevium’s marketing manager, Ben Hogg.

“Luckily we have more stock coming in May. The stars of Sharon’s video really convey the raw fun and tension of the game perfectly, the laughing is infectious.”

The video was shared by Facebook big hitter UniLad, which boasts over five million likes on the social media site.

And the popularity of the game has even extended to ToyNews, where stories posted on the game’s launch and cameo on The Jonathan Ross Show last year have surged into this week’s Most Read list.
