Country Stores Toymaster to close after 30 years

Independent retailer Country Stores Toymaster is closing its doors for the final time, as its owners announce their retirement from the industry.

After 31 years of trading, owners Sharon and John Eveson have decided to close the Forkhill store in Northern Ireland.

Over its history, the store has been a popular choice for shoppers looking for a varied collection of toys and according to the owners, thrived in the area throughout the 80s and 90s.

The Evesons have thanked all their customers from over the years and have announced a retirement sale, which is now under way.

The store announced its closure earlier this week via its social media site, where it has been met with messages wishing the owners well and marking ‘an end of an era.’
