Mattel marks National Scrabble Day with fan challenge

In celebration of today’s National Scrabble Day, Scrabble fans will go head-to-head in a nail biting challenge against the current Scrabble World Champion, Craig Beevers.

In association with Mind Sports International, Beevers and the players will test their wordsmith skills in a unique Scrabble marathon to create a new world record of the most amount of games played within 24 hours.

An extensive, supporting PR programme will create conversation around Scrabble whilst driving participation through national media outreach and social media engagement via Scrabble Facebook and Mind Sports International channels.

Spectators can tune in to watch the intense action via a live TV broadcast at www.MindSportsTV.com and follow the schedule at http://beta.mindsportsacademy.com/games/scrabble/.
