Board Game Club is taking up residence at a new Euston-based venue this month.
Due to popular demand, Board Game Club is heading to Zone One on Thursday, April 30th with its first night at Brasserie 43 on Cardington Street, Euston.
The night will play host to a special showcase of game inventor Andy Allen’s latest creation HexAgony, ahead of its official launch at the UK Games Expo next month.
HexAgony sees players create as many complete hexagons as possible, all while opponents are trying to do the same.
Allen will be on-hand all evening to demonstrate the quick-to-learn game and there’ll be spot prizes and exclusive HexAgony cocktails to enjoy too.
“We’re looking forward to taking over a new venue,” said Board Game Club co-founder, Lesley Singleton of Playtime PR.
“Brasserie 43 is centrally located and gives us a mix of sumptuous banquettes for traditional board and box shenanigans; big round tables for face-to-face dice, card and party action, and intimate booths with fancy AV for a couple of really genius app-linked social games we’ve unearthed lately.
"It’s also a perfect venue for some of the bigger corporate games events we’ve been asked to facilitate recently, so we’re looking forward to being able to offer brands some excellent opportunities going forward.”
Board Game Club co-founder and Toyologist Peter Jenkinson added: “Regulars to Board Game Club will notice a real mixture on the menu this month. We’ll be trying out even more new titles as well as revisiting some of the gems we shared with everyone at our birthday party last month.
"We’re thrilled to have Andy hosting a dedicated HexAgony area and Brasserie 43 lends itself really well to making a real feature of this. We’ve also heard that a couple of our favourite inventors might be turning up with something new in their pockets so perhaps we’ll unearth something really special live on the night.”
Board Game Club takes place on Thursday, April 30th 2015 at Brasserie 43, Cardington Street, Euston at 6pm-11pm.
