Toys R Us is planning to open up to half a dozen outlets in the Republic of Ireland.
The Irish Times reports that the expansion into Ireland will be handled by a franchisee which is believed to have targeted a number of stores in Dublin and other suitable cities.
Jennifer Mulholland of Bannon, who acts for Toys R Us, said it would be “premature to say anything at this stage”.
The retail giant first looked at the Irish market a few years ago, but decided against opening.
