Rob Kay, co-founder and MD, is retiring after 40 years in the toy industry.

Senior management reshuffle at Carterbench

Carterbench is entering a new chapter, with co-founder and MD Rob Kay retiring from the firm after 40 years in the toy business.

Ross Worthington will step into the role of managing director, with co-directors Suzanne Robinson, Simon Gidion and Jim Keenan joining the senior management team.

Kay will remain in a consultancy role.

"Life will certainly be very different without Rob’s day to day involvement; he has contributed so much over the years both at Carterbench and to the toy industry in general," commented Worthington. "We all wish him well as he starts a new chapter and are, of course, delighted that he is going to remain an important part of the team.

"I am really pleased that Suzanne, Simon and Jim are joining the board – all three of them have over 25 years’ experience in the business and are passionate about taking Carterbench to the next level.

"Combined with our Southern team lead by Mary Danby, Carterbench is as vibrant today as it has always been."
